Bang on time in Bangkok - The big noodle !

A seven hour plus time difference robs the traveller of almost a third of a day.
We left on Friday afternoon and arrived this morning at about half nine.
We got to the hotel at 11:15 but the room wasn't ready so we headed off in search of railway tickets in sticky England-weather clothes.
"Buy on the day" is the consistent cry and the ticket office at Hua Lomphong would not sell advance tickets to us so we got new timetables and made our arrangements for tomorrow morning and our trip to Phuket via Don Muang airport. Off now for a massage! (with Sue); then a tourist stroll down the seething pit that is the Khao San Road (Bangkok's Camden Market) then early to bed. We both need some sleep because we're leaving the hotel at 7.30am to catch our flight.
